Hello all!
The following thread will be explaining how to get the NoxiousOT client to work on Apple Macbooks and Desktop computers. This will not work for any handheld devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets, etc) and will require that you download the following before starting:
1. NoxiousOT Custom Client
2. UnRAR Unarchiver - from app store
3. WineBottler
Step 1: Downloading NoxiousOT Custom Client
The first step is to download the NoxiousOT custom client from the link above and make sure to download the "RAR" version of it. Once you have downloaded the file, find it in your downloads and make a folder on your desktop in which you can find the contents later.
Step 2: Downloading UnRAR Unarchiver
Once you have the custom client downloaded, you will need to install UnRAR Unarchiver from the App Store that can be found under the Launchpad on your Apple computer.
Step 3: Opening NoxiousOT Client .rar File
Once you have this downloaded, you are going to use the UnRAR Unarchiver to open the .rar file that was previously not able to be opened and it will bring you to a Tibia.exe file that you will later use in WineBottler.
Step 4: Downloading WineBottler and Running Tibia.exe
Downloading the WinBottler App is important because this is what will be running the Tibia.exe file that came from the .rar extraction. Please follow the screenshots showing the detailed steps.
Step 5: Adding WineBottler to Applications
The next step is very simple, but extremely important. You must drag both Wine and WineBottler into the applications folder where you will be able to find the program.
Step 6: Running NoxiousOT with WineBottler
This last step is what you will be doing each time you want to open up the NoxiousOT custom client. Going back to Step 1 where the client was downloaded (hopefully on desktop)and where the .rar file was extracted, find the Tibia.exe file and right click on the file and the following window should appear. Make sure to "run directly" and not the convert to app option.
Step 7: Login to The Client and Enjoy NoxiousOT on your Mac!
