Is it possible to code a way to rook ones character and display an icon (like the enemy shield etc) above a character to show what level or prestige they are up to?
Example: Set level 350 for rebirth and you can go to an NPC and ask for a rebirth/reincarnation at which you get a bonus or be able to choose a permanent bonus.
- +1% MAX HP
- +200 soul points
- +6 natural regen/4s
- +2% skill rate
or a legendary weapon:
-Golden windforce(attk:71 +5%AS - still enchantable)
-Crystal Fleshtearer (+2 attack +2axe permanent + enchantable)
-Titanium Fist (+2 attack +2 club - enchantable)
-Perfect Soft Boots (+8 permanent regen +enchantable)
Or a rare deco Item or tokens or gold or whatever you want as a reward for rebirth.
Characters get rooked back to level 8 and keep all skills in exchange for a permanent unlock just like call of duty (prestige mode).
Once I get my mage level 400 what else is there to do? I can't pk anywhere cause someone posts in global "level 400 pk in xxx" and literally like 30 level 180's rock up for the exp so it makes high level characters kinda pointless except for war, which there aren't any...
make it so you can rebirth up to 5 times so people who like rpging have something to do.
Although Ive spent alot of time and effort and would prefer no reset, even I agree it's kind of needed for the good of the server. If you got RPGers telling you that it's time then maybe it's time.
Should do it properly this time and implement everything you want to cause I think the last one was rushed and half arsed under pressure.
Things to consider:
1) make a 3 way war possible.
2) get character trading working
3) Rebirth system?
4) implement 10% power so killing people is easier
5) Possibly make runes-ammunition wasteable so people cant take 5000 pots on a hunt. Make it so theres a ratio of 5:1 or 3:1 3-5 shots to a rune
6) Fuck private spawn off completely because it encourages anti social behaviour-increase Vip monster exp-expand vip and make it more expensive $$ wise over a 3 month period.
7)Lower exp rate @ 250 to 0.5 and to 0.2 @ 300, This would work well with a thought our rebirth system.
8) Add new bags and bring back stackable stats but at a lower total ie magic items have a max of 4 per stat but you can get 3+2 ml like the old ways but with an overall lower levelled population and increased power this would work well.
9)in refunding points; Just give back half of what people donated for. I think this is your main issue, refunding points because when you do then your income doesn't come back in so refund half points and give us new items to spend them on? maybe a Rare or Legendary orb that costs 1000 points (4orbs) and increases the chance of a legendary item instead of fucking MANA...its always mana or arm...
10) Implement guild wars that round off levels and stats but leaves EQ and costs tokens or money from each player to enter. IE minimum is 1000 tokens so each team has to give 1000 tokens to play and the money is given to winning leader upon completion of war which gives players an incentive to finish wars instead of backing out and leaving cause they are getting fucked up.
11) Limit houses to 1 per account from the start cause I seee theres alot of people who dont play but log in once a month to keep a house which is bullshit.
12) MP counter. Rps and Eks getting an estimated hour to next level, why cant you script something that shows how much MP till next magic level?
13)Pay your GM's and Tutors with in game items so they are on doing their jobs.
14)Upgrade loot of VIP creatures to account for a money loss from PS. PS is a cash cow and without it, most people would be broke so up loot for VIP (which is now more expensive to cover your cash flow for loss of PS)
15) Introduce umbral creation to make sick arse weapons better then donor so basically the best weaps in game but super hard to obtain. Obvious umbral creation isnt a thing in 8.6 but Im sure you can work something similar out which would be another objective for players. Maybe make it come from magical dusts which certain bosses or raids would naturally drop or players can break down rares to obtain them (cash cow for you)
These are just a few ideas for an overall better server and I do beleive if you implement this over the next year and let the server test the new stuff out and then do a reset we will be pumping back up around the 600-700-800?? mark of players?
A little server advertisment jsut before reset wouldnt go astray either.
You'd be giving the war mongers what they want
The rpgers what they want
You get an overall better product of quality
You get your cash flow back
Everyone is happy
Make it a challenge to get 300 cause everyone is now hunting and not in PS.
Everyone is overall stronger so pking is easier instead of 1 ek tanking 10 people.
